This project aim to simplified the design process that involve connectors cutout. Redrawing each panel cut-out in every project is not ergonomic. A SolidWorks feature library that synchronize on every computer could improve the ergonomic of design as everyone can use the same library in designing every project and update with new panel cut-out from time to time.
Objective
The objective of this project is to create a SolidWorks feature library that include panel cut-out of all the common used connector.
Methodology
Most common used connector is listed after surveying the ongoing projects. Catalogue of the connector is then studied to collect data of all possible variation. The connector cut-out is then drawn in SolidWorks and saved as feature library. Configuration feature is used to save connector cut-out with multiple variants. A documentation on how to use the feature library, update and add new cut-out is written at the end of the project.
