Mobile Phone Screen Cleaner is a device that clean screen of mobile phone automatically with alcohol and microfiber roller. When a mobile phone is inserted, the conveyer belt will move the phone through and alcohol is sprayed on the microfiber roller to wipe the screen of the phone.
Objective
The objective of this group project is to design an automated device with the use of gearing system. Analysis is performed to calculate the gear ratio, velocity, torque and power require to operate the device.
Methodology
Autodesk Fusion 360 is used in the designing process. The device consist of alcohol reservoir, microfiber roller, motor, 3 sets of gear and a conveyor belt. The device will move the phone at velocity of 1cm/s when a 1.5V AA battery is connected.
Achievement
The design is shortlisted in Autodesk Malaysia Design Competition (AMDC) 2017 that is held on 6th April 2018.
